Celisa Diuana

Born in Brazil, she trained in Rio de Janeiro, at the Maria Olenewa State Dance school and won a scholarship with the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg , Russia.

Her awards include 1st prize at Conselho Brasileiro De Dança Competition (Rio de Janeiro, 2000) and Prix de Lausanne Apprentice scholarship winner (2003). She joined The Royal Ballet as an apprentice for the season 2003/4 and became a member of the company in September 2004. Her repertory with the Company includes roles in Romeo and Julliet, Giselle (pas de six), The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Coppélia (prayer), Swan Lake, Manon, La Sylphide (first Sylph) and The White Couple in Les Patineurs.

She also danced choreography for the Clore Studio Upstairs and Linbury Theatre. She organized and danced in a Charity Gala in London, 2010 and as a professional dancer have enjoyed being coached by the renowned teacher Renato Paroni.

Teaching experience:

Advanced classical ballet technique at Petite Dance School, Intermidiate Ballet technique and teaching at a workshop for young ballet students age 12-17 years old, in Brazil.

Recently teaching group and private ballet classes for children and adults in London and as guest teacher worldwide.

Celisa Diuana has the Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma RAD (The Royal Academy of Dance).

Pilates

Celisa Diuana has gained her Level 3 & Pre and Post Natal qualifications with Body Control Pilates, London.

She trains both adults and children in pure ballet or Matwork Pilates for fitness purposes and those looking for long & lean physique.
